bioHi there, I'm Laura Silver and this is my trusty pencil. Looking for a writer, editor, web producer or usability expert? I have more than a dozen years working with words and have been managing web content since 2000. Recent clients include The New York Times, National Public Radio, WNYC Radio and Popular Science. I've put together punchy copy for sites like NPR.org, WNYC.org, editorial clients and major New York nonprofits and am known for making gnarly projects manageable -- and fun -- for all involved. In the word department, I've penned (and penciled) book chapters on agriculture in rural Senegal, Mrs. Stahl's knishes and my high school soccer coach, the indomitable Ms. L . I'm a native New Yorker and a licensed city tour guide. In third grade I got yelled at for trampling the grass at United Nations Headquarters (my classmate had dropped her pen) but years later, they welcomed me back to lead tours of the place (in French, Hebrew and English). |
